well kevinandrew it's a visual check unless you have an oscilloscope....you could use your fluke to check the coil primary and secondary resistance to check for a bad coil... you can buy cheap secondary ignition spark checker/testers....at auto parts stores,mac,snap-on..... on some you have the ability to adjust the air gap that the spark has to jump ...it's not to hard to see if you have a weak spark condition.

Check for battery 12.0v at the coil, check your grounds and feeds make sure there clean and tight....look for and correct any corrosion on electrical connections.

No 12V at coil with Mag or CDI ignition on these carts.

i'm not a mechanic..... i just have some tools.....and a lot of mess up stuff. it's really nice to have a place like this to go for info. like checking coils and such. it's good to know someone who knows something.

I know a guy that knows I know just enough to get in trouble.
Rent borrow or buy a compression gauge and then you can be sure
about that aspect.
