05 txt throttle problems

I recently got this cart, and adjusted the governor for abit more top speed. The problem i am having is that the throttle at low speed its all or none, i cant just creep around slowly. The throttle seems to work fine at about 3/4 throttle, but at low speeds it seems like the throttle is wide open and u can let off just a bit and its like you let it off completely. I jacked up the cart and watch the pulleys work, and they both seem to be working fine, so i think it is a cable linkage problem or something. I have read several other threads with others having the same problem, but havent seen a fix for it yet. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also after i adjusted the governor i am getting a little backfiring, again seen other threads with the same problems, but havent seen the fix as of yet.

Ok, i figured it out finally. I found that when i turn the governor screw in, it lets the lever it is conected to move further forward, which in turn pulls the throttle cable too, making it at half throttle or so when you start it, so i backed off the throttle cable approx 3/4 inch and problem solved. Can now ease around at low speeds.

glad you fixed it. I was gonna say check your cables for binding.
