Default 08 Sport II clutch questions

Changed the belt a couple of days ago and found the drive clutch to be "loose". Meaning I could wobble it. Should I be able to move it from side to side by hand? Also noticed when revving the engine it wobbles like it is out of round/balance. Is that normal? I did a search but found nothing on this issue. The belt had seen better days and cart has a little more pep. The service manual shows no cutaway or parts for the clutch and I read where there are no servicable parts in the clutch. I think when it warms up a little today I'm gonna remove the dust cover and have a look inside. What do ya'll think? Thanks

I'm definitely not an expert, but I have the same cart, and I can't move mine from side to side by hand. Also, mine doesn't wobble when its turning. Hope this helps as a comparison.

You should NOT be able to move the drive clutch anyway but 'round by hand. Is the center bolt still there? You'll want to pull that off and check the shaft etc. Depending on what is wrong, you could be asking for a catestophic failure at speed and that could hurt :(

What are the markings on the clutch. If it is a comet, they are all very similar in design and you can get parts diagrams on those.

Looks like the stock clutch steveb05. Got the cover off and found only a lot of clutch dust and the spring. I read on here where there is a fella by the name of Tom that rebuilds these clutches? I think I'll give him a call on Monday and check my options. rocknrone, I saw that we have the same cart, thanks for the comparison.
