Default Parts for G17a

Just bought a Yamaha cart. Almost all of the writing is in Japanese. From a post in 2009, it looks exactly like the one pictured in the thread. The dirt even looks the same. It was found to be a G17A. the serial number even starts the same (JT1).

My problem is now to find parts for it. At first it will be things like air filters, plugs, etc. May move on to more extensive things as time permits. All the parts sites I've been to so far don't list the model. Any help?

thanks

Welcome to BGW!

I never heard of a G17, I don't think there is one.

There was a thread started 5-11-2009 by Junkhauler who bought one. He posted pictures. The cart was id'ed by Essness on 5-12-2009. He said that it looked like this particular cart was marketed on the Pacific Rim. Looks like at least 2 leaked over on this side of the pond. All searches on G17A and Turf Liner lead to dealers in the Philipenes(sp?).

thanx

I've seen one. As I recall they were like a G2/G9 vintage engine. Please take some pic's of the engine and airbox assy, I'm sure we can figure out tune up parts.

I just purchased a G17a yesterday (6/10/11), I have already started the search for parts, so I will let you know if I come up with anything. So far there has been very little information about these carts available.

an owner's/service manual would be handy(in english preferably).

It needs a tuneup.

I just bought one as well. Did you have any luck on sourcing parts?

We bought 2 weeks ago a G17a. Today it wouldn't start.
Does anyone have a service manual or electric scheme?

Best regards from Belgium
