Default to fast...

if anyone remembers awhile back i had a bunch of questions regarding a 92 ds club car. well it has since then been finished. painted yellow cd player lights horn the whole deal. we take it to the race track as a cart to run the pits. today my boss asked me to make it a little easier to drive. since i bypassed the governor the throttle is really touchy. so i went about adjusting a few things so you could feather the throttle out a little better and i thought i was in neutral. i had the seat flipped up had the steering wheel off. (it has a removable racing steering wheel on it) and i must have contacted something on the start switch on the throttle linkage. i was not on the throttle or pulling the cable but the thing took off actually spinning the tires since no one was sitting on it. went about 8 feet and hit a car lift going what had to have been 20mph. cracked the paint off of our freshy painted front end. broke the left front hub in half and destroyed the wheel and smashed one of our lights to pieces.

These things happen. I'm here as a witness to one fool who had a 36v cart on 48v on the charger with the battery pack at nearly 60v when he crawled underneath the cart and removed the throttle return spring and let the peddle fall!
The key was on...... the cart charger was in the cart plugged in = 36v motor on 60volts. That cart ran that guy over while burning rubber... spinning wheels it crashed into a huge work bench and pushed it across the shop smashing it into another bench and crash all manner of stuff everywhere until it came against a solid wall where it sat spinning tires on the concrete floor.

I still consider my self lucky

ok i'll get pics. 20mph might be an exaggeration......and how do you know a lambo doesn't post that time. 0 to 20 is instant in most cars due to they spin the tires faster than that launching.....but anyways i didn't pull a radar gun out of my *** to watch this all happen i just know in about 8 feet it did a hell of a lot of damage and with no one sitting on it the **** thing squealed the tires taking off.
