Default Compression test

Hey all,

What should the compression be on a 91 DS? Upper and lower limits.

Thanks,

Sean

I like to see 100 on the lower side and most of them come in our shop at around 140-155?

Does a flat head really get that high compression? I think mine is on the low side of 100 but thats a big difference from 150 - 100 psi

I did see it. Thanks again for the info. It's kinda a moot point now though. This engine has bigger problems. I've since torn it down and the crank and rod is trashed. Also, the plate on the cam gear was laying in pieces at the bottom of the crankcase. It should all work out ok in the end. I've repaired the loose gear on the cam and the crank & rod are on the way. The top end looks like a million bucks so it should be up and running for a couple hundred. Anyway, thanks again all.

Later,

Sean
