Default On board generator

I wanted to see if this was possible and if so how to accomplish. I have a ezgo pds i use for hunting. I love the quiet but the possiblity of batteries dying prevents me from using it sometimes. Im thinkin I could put my charger under the seat and a generator in the well on back and when I need the power crank up the generator and take off and drive while charging. I guess it would be like a hybrid. Is this possible or a pipe dream

If you're just wanting to go out further than you can get back from on a fully charged battery pack, your idea might work.
If your concern is about a battery actually "Dying" (failing), an on-board charger and generator probably isn't going to be much help.

The link says, "In tests simulating real-world, “stop-and-go” use, a four-passenger, Exceed-equipped 2Five under an average load and traveling at a speed of 16 mph, was able to traverse 150 miles between charges."

So it appears a rear seat was used for their test.

The fact that they didn't show it may mean it was cobbled together with duct tape and rubber bands, just for the test. Looks like one should fit with some modifications to the supports, somethin' most of us ain't afraid of.

I found a rear seat on their site for the 2Five, but not for the RXV.

RXV shuttle models have rear seats. They've been running around my neighborhood for a couple of years. The seats are fixed though. The rear seat on the 2Five looks the same but it flips backward like they do on the TXT shuttles. Seems like this would give access to the generator and the fuel filler. Looks like this seat would bolt right on a RXV. New models might already be this way. I haven't been to a dealer to see.

The OP (and me too) would probably be interested in the interface between the generator and the batteries/drive. Anyway, we know it can be done.

I wonder what the price would be for that little gem.
