bad stearing
i put a jakes 6in lift on with 12 by 22 in tires and need to align the front end any one out there know how

Use a tape measure. Measure half way up the tire at the rear and the same point at the front. Some like 1/8 inch toe in, I like zero with lifts and traction type tires. Also make shure the "arm,knuckles (the flat plates that look like an "s" that the tie rod ends bolt to). You be the judge.

I called Jake's on mine. They told me to have someone drive towards you 30/40 feet watch the wheels and tires ( Toe-in / Toe-out ) accordingly. Repeat the drive and adjust again until you get it right.
They did say to sit in the center of cart while driving forward. Also this procedure should correct any caster/camber issue you may have. Do this as many times as needed until toe is right. Feel free to call Jakes if you have any questions!!!!! |
