Zemco Header/muffler sound
I recently bought a '99 Medalist that already had some modifications done to it. One of the mods done was a Zemco header/muffler installed on the stock engine (no other mods to engine).
Cruising at top speed you have a trouble carrying on a conversation with your passenger. I've been considering getting the stock muffler in order to quiet it down some, but I'm concerned that the noise difference won't be that great. I know this question is kind of subjective, but thought I would see if there is anybody with experience with both set ups. I bought it mainly as a neighborhood cruiser, so I don't want to piss off the neighbors if I can help it. Other than this little issue, I love the cart and I think it's going to start a trend in the neighborhood Here's what I picked up: |

Re: Zemco Header/muffler sound
I'd say the stock muffler would be a great deal quieter than some racy type of job.Golf carts are designed to be fairly quiet. You don't want to piss off golfers when they're trying to swing clubs around.Just my two cents though so don't hold me to it.Post a pic of the exhaust setup and I could tell you more.

That's a great lookin cart litljay Scrap the header. It's not helping the engine run any better and it's just making noise!
