Need help figuring out what to do for a rear bumper
As you can see the rear of my cart needs some type of bumper. all it has is the frame cross section where the factory bumper bolted up.
Any ideas and pictures would be great. |

In my opinion, there are 2 ways to go, do what Curti did or, do what I did with a back seat. Both can be seen in the G8 Club!@

Whatever you decide, a
2 inch receiver would be real handy. |

Re: Need help figuring out what to do for a rear bumper
So can you spell out what you want in a rear bumper?
Receiver Corner protection Rear seat with a step? Flip seat/bed? Seems think if the last 2 are something you want, then you should consider it all in one build. My own cart has something like this..... part of it was on the cart when I bought it, part of it I built after the fact. But it's pretty much everything listed above. Granted it's not a Yamaha, but it might give you some ideas. Bet your gonna need a heck of a drop hitch too. |

Re: Need help figuring out what to do for a rear bumper
I don't have the pic to upload,but look at my Albums,I built a 1/8"-wall 3" square-tube bumper on mine.I angled the ends to follow the body-shape,and capped the ends.It has a 2" receiver-tube and a tow-hook.Hope this helps.

Re: Need help figuring out what to do for a rear bumper
The main problem with the G2 is there is not much to work with. The cross member that the factory bumper bolts to isn't real beefy. It's thin wall square tubing and there is nothing behind it to assist with the load of a hitch. Especially with a 12 inch drop. By the time I hook my trailer to it and hit the gas, I'm afraid the crossmember will be ripped clean off.
