'89 Yam G2
I have a 89 Yamaha G2 I have fixed to a minimum standard
next on my list is Top, Windshield, Rearview mirror,Electrical "custom harness" any Ideas or suggestions? |

I have Ideas for a custom harness if anyone is interested I could make a rough diagram I am not electrically inclined
I also would like suggestion for tires on/off road capable 20 inch tire 8 inch rim economicle if possible I wand to put a 4 inch lift on if that is recommended |

Alot is going to be influenced by what you want to use the cart for. I just did a homemade lift for my G9 that is about 5" and with 22" tires it goes anywhere off road I want to and it's good and stable. I am currently working on an upper brush guard for it and am thinking about doing a vinyl top for it. Hope that gives some ideas.

well I want a lift for clearance on and off road
and tires for the for on and off road use I want a custom harness to seperate street legal main harness from accessories like 12 volt power supply and extra lights and other I guess it might be describes as a custom harness in addition to the main |

Its' just like building a car or truck project.There is no limit,no point where you should stop.A separate harness is fine,but you can just run separate circuits from a fuse-block.That way you don't have wiring running eveywhere.I like doing big wiring-jobs on customers' trucks and making it look like I never did it(creative hiding).Keep everything neat and organized,use plastic loom,it looks great when its' all done.As for windshields,lifts,tires/whels.Its' all depending on your useage.I love nice wheels and paint,but I treat my cart kinda rough in the trails,so scrapes,scratches,etc..are more likely than keeping it pristine.So I run painted steel-wheels and a stock white-body.I built my rear bumper to protect the rear of the cart and the dump-bed from backing into stuff like trees,and it has a hitch and tow-hook for yard-work or dragging someone out.Tops or Upper Brush-Guard(looks like a roll-cage)are great additions too.Hope this helps.

Well I got the cart as a gift it was in
stock condition and was old but ran good I started out with a paint job I did myself and it looked good it had a tinted wind shield so I added extra lights for driving at night from there I was going to lift it and so on but it fell apart and sat for awhile I just had it in the shop and got it to a minimum standard as it had stopped running. I also primered it and now it sets runs good and is primerd.. so I am only going to drive it as needed but I am trying to make plans for fixing it up on a budget including a new top and windshield I was looking at the one on buggies also a 4 inch lift wheel tire combo I saw on another website and I think I should do the lift and wire first or at the same time so there is no wire length issues any suggestions from there I would appreciate I like the seperat circut option but the main harness is already in place and I thought the best way to add accesories would a be seperate harness I want to put a 12 volt power supply in I need a license plate light and I might want more lights or even a winch later which brings up another question I have what is the need/purpose for a two battery setup I dont know much about it so any help is appreciated |

Unless you are doing a ton of winching,just use an automotive-battery.I use Group-26,or a Group-34.The higher the CCA,the better.I don't think anything other than heavy winching or a big stereo-system will require more than 1 battery.Hope this helps.

it does, I was wondering about optima, interstate batteries versus standard batteries and also about deep cycle for the constant draw even when the motor is off.... also what is the purpose of a two battery setup

Optimas' are over-priced and over-rated,I haven't seen anyone have one last more than 2yrs.in a vehichle yet.Interstate is one of the top batteries made,I swear by them,its' all I use.Dual-Batteries give you more cranking-power and more reserve-capacity for high amp-draw like plows,winches,etc.Deep-Cycles are a good alternative to dual-batteries.Hope this helps.
