Default G9 with Oil in the Air Box

Okay, guys this is my first Golf Cart when I first got my g9 she ran a little rough, but now I have put on new gaskets around the Carburetor and exhaust. I also resealed the Air Box, fixed the idle screw to where it is one and a half turn from closed. I have also installed a Speed Spring and I have it running about 22 mph, but it back fires after a long run at top speed. I also believe when it backfires it shoots oil into to Air Box from the hose that connects from the top of manifold. Can anyone give me an idea of what my next step should be to fix this problem?

Throttle cable is holding the butterfly open on the carb. It needs to be adjusted so it is closed, till the motor is turning over with the starter, then it starts to open.

The oil is likely from blowby, it will generate pressure in the engine when run a lot at high rpm. Also never put over 1 quart of oil in them, best to change oil and put a qt in, then mark the dipstick at that spot. That spot will move if you lift the cart. If you overfill it will puke into the airbox for sure. You may have to rig up a catch can for the line. The line is to put stinky fumes into the airbox to get burned up so I'd try to still vent it into there.

Another thing that can cause that is the exhaust getting hot, some say the muffler can get plugged but I only ever saw that on G1s. I know the muffler is restrictive at high rpm and eventually is not good for the exhaust valve.
