Thanks for the replies guys. I work midnights and had to sleep on it for a bit. I'm a little better now... Looking to copy what GroundPounder did with the rear of his G2 cart. I had 2 passenger side G8E axles and housings on hold. I really had my heart set on these parts... Unless someone has 2 axles and housings they want to part with, I will be doing something different for the rear of my cart... Anyone know what type of steel the rear axles are made of? Maybe I could cut/splice to make them longer???

Yes it would have been easier if the parts were paid for... On the other hand, Devils advocate or not, don't tell me you will save something for a couple weeks, then sell it... I know about opinions but, it was still a wrong move!

Don't try to splice the axles. They are Heat-Treated and the welds will snap,no matter who does it,or how its' done. The housings can be welded, but not the shafts. What about 2 pass-side G2 housings/axles?I did that on my Marathon, since the G2 rear was narrower.

I wanted 2 passenger side axles because those are the longest axles Yamaha has ever used. Over 21" long. I may just wait until the dealership gets the one axle housing from backorder... He called back and said around March 17th...

You sound like your getting all heated up again. Maybe go back to sleep or take a nap.

But really, I get aggrivated when someone does not hold up to their word. Seems now a days you need a lawyer and a witness to document most peoples word and have it notorized.

No, the widest axle Yamaha has is off the G8 electric. It is compatible with the G2/G9. This is what I want for the rear of my cart... 2 passenger axles and housings from a G8E. That will widen the rear of my build cart without using wheel spacers...

Here is the cart Jason built. This is what I want to do for the rear of my cart... However, I will be going a full fab custom on the front of my cart..
