The plug is black but the choke is opening and closing fine. Seems that it is a mixture prob. If you can give me any info on how to adjust the air fuel mix I would very much appreciate it.

The mixture screw on the side won't change much and I think is protected anyway. If it is flooding the needle for the float is probably not closing 100% and allowing fuel to leak past. I good cleaning may fix this but look at the needle and see if it has the rubber or vitrol tip. If it does the ethanol fuel can damage these and cause this to happen. In this case just replace the needle.
