Speed 3 setting vs 4 setting...whats difference, what do I gain/lose with having it changed?

You won't lose anything. The IQ Controllers are equipped with a speed monitoring system. It utilizes a speed sensor on the motor to monitor speed. It uses electronic motor braking to keep you within the programmed range. All 4 speed settings have a maximum allowed speed. You'll increase max speed to 19.6MPH with speed setting 4. Speed setting 3, according to Club Car's spec sheet, will allow a max speed of 14.8MPH. Keep in mind that these numbers represent vehicles with regular 18" golf car tires. With your 22" oversized tires your max speed will be slightly higher. You should see 22-23MPH or so if you upgrade to setting 4 with no loss of torque.
