Speed 3 setting vs 4 setting...whats difference, what do I gain/lose with having it changed?

(and yes david, I will come by next week sometime to get the old stuff, thanks)

You won't lose anything. The IQ Controllers are equipped with a speed monitoring system. It utilizes a speed sensor on the motor to monitor speed. It uses electronic motor braking to keep you within the programmed range. All 4 speed settings have a maximum allowed speed. You'll increase max speed to 19.6MPH with speed setting 4. Speed setting 3, according to Club Car's spec sheet, will allow a max speed of 14.8MPH. Keep in mind that these numbers represent vehicles with regular 18" golf car tires. With your 22" oversized tires your max speed will be slightly higher. You should see 22-23MPH or so if you upgrade to setting 4 with no loss of torque.

I think you may have misunderstood the original post.... I didn't give him the cart, I got it running for him.

Tahoe, he is looking for good advice on his build. Would you mind helping him? He asked me who he should ask and you were one of the first people i thought he could trust.

Haha, I just re-read it and you were correct.. Misunderstood.. Even so, seems as though he was lucky to have you working on it.
