Default Re: Need help with my voltage gauge

let me try this again. When my batteries are at 100% I am still getting a half charge on my voltage meter that I installed. I have the + hooked to the + on the battery, the - to - on the battery and a wire from the C terminal on back of gauge hooked to the key switch.

What is the voltage of the pack when you say they are 100%?

2 sorta answer your question, since your wiring appears to be correct. There can only be 2 reasons why the gauge is showing half.

1. Your battery pack is half charged at 48volts
2. You battery pack is Fully Charged at 51 volts DCand that means the gauge is faulty.

I am going to go with Number 1

ROOKEE your such a rookie, Ha Ha.

As stated in the earlier comments to your question, you need to get a digital meter that gives you a number like 50.1. Did you even read the comments posted for you?

How do you know your batteries are 100% charged? What is your voltage reading? You can check your batteries reading with a hand held digital multi meter.

Are you sure it's not a 72volt meter gauge?
