Diffference between Shuttle and Freedom

Have looked at two gas EZGOs second hand. One has a "Freedom" decal on its side (and is about 5 years old I think) and one has a "Shuttle" decal and is a little older. Both are road legal 4-seaters.

The Freedom has two headlights at the front and the Shuttle has a single head lamp array, but they are cosmetically similar apart from this.

The Shuttle was very much quieter and smoother sounding even thought it is older. The Freedom (and every Freedom that I have seen) is **** noisy.

Can anyone help me with the key differences between these carts? Plus I assume both can be made to go a lot faster with appropriate mods?

The freedom model had lighting in the factory harness.

OK understand. So there is no reason why the engine would be noisier on the Freedom? May be it is just the examples that I have seen.

None that I can think of ..... more miles/hours of operation
