Rear end seems broke
I have a txt, 98 model. I was leaving work at the course yesterday, stopped to talk at the driving range, and when i went to leave again, the rear end just made a grinding noise and dosent move. Any thing simple to check or do i need to remove the entire rear?

Re: Rear end seems broke
Commonly - it is a stripped brake drum that causes this complaint. Ezgo uses poor quality casting for the drum/hub. When the hub teeth strip out you can see the axle spinning but the wheel won't turn. This is an easy diagnostic with the hub cap off. Replacement hubs are no better. You can get heavy duty hubs from Ausco or you can upgrade the brakes to cable disk brakes from Ausco and get the hubs included.... go here to check these options out http://www.cartsunlimited.net/
