Re: Can RXV threads be separated from other electric EZ GO threads?
Just wanted to have rxv stuff easier to find.
Many of you guys have years of experience on other electrics,i have nothing to add with those carts. You guys ROCK with them. (i use your advice when confronted with txt's ect.) I am new to golf carts- NOT new to electronics/computers/PLC's ect. Background in electronics, computers, computer control systems (PLC's). RXV's seem to be giving people a lot of trouble, very different from other (Ladder logic or Analog) controllers. hope i can help some with the digital PLC controller and systems in RXV's just thought that separating the RXV info from the other electric EZ GO stuff would clear up confusion . As many threads show, doing stuff the old way does not work with RXV's |

RXV an 2Five would go in same sub forum. 2 five is just binged out rxv.
==just to be clear== RXV's are DIFFERENT beasts--- But once you get to know them-- they can be tame and dependable. |

Just electric--
Gas RXV's not that different from any gas cart. It is the Digital controller and motor/brake system that makes RXV' electrics so different. |

Re: Can RXV threads be separated from other electric EZ GO threads?
I promise not to give anymore advice on RXV carts but I would like to learn more about them here. Many big modern railroad locomotives employ AC motors and it appears the same principals with the braking system is used on RXV carts. Locomotives use giant air cooled resistors to dissipate the heat from electricity generated when motors are used as generators for breaking similar to the burn off coil in RXV golf carts.

Re: Can RXV threads be separated from other electric EZ GO threads?
Same concept. Locomotives have no large batteries to put any power the "regenerative brakes" generate-- so they "burn off" the power.
in RXV's If the batteries have "Room" for the power regenerative braking generates, the controller sends it to the batteries. If batteries are fully charged,it uses the "Burn off " resistor--- the power has to go somewhere-- Radioman --Give advice -- |
