2cycle 2pg piston
Does the 2pg and 3pg engine use the same piston? I have a new 50 over piston for my 2pg engine but would like to use it now with my 3pg engine.

Re: 2cycle 2pg piston
The pistons are different. As you can see here the 3PG piston is, unlike the 2PG, a two port device.

Re: 2cycle 2pg piston
One could easily add/enlarge window in a 2 for 3 use, if the budget is tight. It's an extra intake feed, and not a critical tuning item.
Several RD400 Yamaha piston options, that all work fine. |
