Head Milling Feedback
I measured the stock 88 2PG from my cart, and it had a brutally ineffective .130" squish clearance. If truly 6:1 compression ratio stock, cutting the lip off, by reducing chamber volume by 6cc, bumps it to 6.7:1 or so, and gets the piston and head close enough to actually perform a squish/quench function. It should really sharpen throttle response and may even reduce overheating by keeping the outer edge of the piston cooler.
6:1= 244/5=48.8 +244=292.8 /48.8 Reduce 6cc chamber volume to 42.8 +244= 286.8 /42.8, end up at 6.7:1 Has any one experienced issues with this mod? |

Re: Head Milling Feedback
I milled my head .015". It didn't run good before I did that, so I don't have a comparison.
When I step on the pedal, it starts instantly. It doesn't waste any time cranking. |
