Re: Workhorse Rear Axle
I looked thru the Parts list on the stickies and the rear axle in the manual shows the regular gas rear, this axle has no place for F&R selection. There is only one marking on it that says E-Z-GO

Re: Workhorse Rear Axle
Looks more like my EZGO electric golf cart rear axle.

Re: Workhorse Rear Axle
You know thats probably why there was no running gear in it at all. This cart was probably used to make an electric cart into a gas. Good think I only bought it as scrap

Re: Workhorse Rear Axle
You did find the rear end, and it is indeed an electric cart rear end.
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...-rear-end.html That particular rear end is a funky year and a half only deal that was made 86.5-87. Electric EZGO carts used a Dana differential before and after this time period, but for reasons still unknown, they used this oddball differential for a short time. Don't just scrap it, they're sorta rare. Also, there should be a date stamped on the passenger side of the differential in that rectangular raised portion above the fill plug, you might have to take a wire brush to it and get close to see it, but it'll be there. |
