Default Gap between carb and air filter adapter

I just realized that I have about a 1/8" gap between the carburetor and the plastic air filter adapter on my 295. It looks like the 4 metal spacers that go through the plastic piece are about 5mm too long. Do I have some incorrect parts installed or what?
Thanks,
Wayne

Look on page H-4 of this manual:

There is the exploded view of the airbox. You may just have something out of alignment.

It appears to me that # 5 may be missing. Where do I get a BOM for this assembly?

Thanks,
Wayne

That is a baffle. Not sure but you may have to go to shopezgo.com to get that piece. Can you get another pic that may better show the space and maybe the inside where the baffle is missing? It appears that it isn't seating and I'm not sure the baffle is whats causing that since it goes inside the flange not between the flange and carb face.

BTW...."BOM" whats that?

BOM is bill of materials. In this case "parts list" might be more appropriate. It looks to me that the 4 metal spacers are too long. Do you happen to know the approximate thickness of the baffle?

If the baffle is 1/8" or more thick and the holes will clear the 3/8" od of the metal spacers, I think that will cure the issue. However the pic on the EZ GO web site looks to be thinner than that. I will try to call the local ez go dealer tomorrow.
Thanks again!
