Default 2pg rebuild questions

I guess I will go ahead and rebuild the top and bottom of this motor. Did a quick search online and found a kit for $338 at blockbuster. I dont see that they sell parts on this site.

-Any advise on where to purchase?
-Do I need to beware of anything (bad aftermarket parts...)?

It looks like with all the parts that come with the kit, it is basically cleanup and reassembly and maybe some press work.

The kits are complete and that's the cheapest I've seen.
Cost is similar to having your cylinder bored and crank rebuilt
They are likely all made in 3rd world countries but seem to hold up in these low-stress applications.
Cutting the head for more compression adds some snappiness.

I bought the full kit from ebay seller advantagedistributing. 321$
Looks like a great kit.
Most parts have made in India stickers on them but look like fairly decent quality.
I have yet to install it though.

Mine was made in India, I think they still use them in those Tuk Tuk taxis I have about 45 hours on it now and it is working fine.

As far as tips go, make sure the kit has new crankshaft seals and be sure to use them
Make sure you install the piston with the port to the inlet. Get it wrong and your engine will run but badly.
