Cool 2010 RXV Start stop issues

My 2010 RXV will about 50% of the time just clik when I push the gas pedal. I read some threads here and pulled the floor up and got to the foot switch and harness and put a new one in. (don't really know how to diagnose stuff very well). I have no issues getting to, removing parts and reinstalling new parts, but I am not the best at troubleshooting, hence my membership here. When I push the gas pedal, it always makes a loud click under the driver's side of the seat where the battery and some relay switches are, but it only actually engages and drives about half the time. I checked the tightness of the connections at the battery and the relays and all seems fine. No corrosion on battery terminals either. I am starting to read about a solenoid here and there...is this something that I should try to locate and test? I don't know where it is other than the general area of the battery. Thanks in advance for any help ya'll can give.

A good solid click, and then nothing happens?

It's time to have your battery load tested. Take it to any parts store. They will check it for free.

Lock it in neutral and try to jump it from another battery. If that doesn't work the solenoid is under the black plastic cover to the right of the battery. Single black push rivet holds it down. Pull that cover off and jumper across the 2 main lugs. It will spark.. If it turns over you probably have a bad solenoid.
