If you don't have pack voltage there, the reed switch is bad. To fix it, just by pass it as shown. (EZGO stopped using the reed switch, since it failed so often.) |

Re: 1998 ezgo help!!!
I already tried by passing it earlier today, I took the red and white wire apart and hard wired the white wire to the positive on the battery and nothing happened

Re: 1998 ezgo help!!!
It is the red wire that goes into the wiring harness than has to be connected to the battery pack positive.
If you have pack voltage on that wire, the next place it goes to is a microswitch on the F/R switch assembly, labeled MS-2 on the schematic. |

Re: 1998 ezgo help!!!
Just from my experience....check the water in the batteries..Mine did the exact same thing and most of the batteries didnt have enough water... I know...I know... It sat all winter and didnt move for 5 months and it moved 20ft and died. I was actually impressed it moved at all the first time.. Anyway I filled them up and replaced one broken battery wire and it took a charge and has been running the last two months with constant use.. I just have to charge it every other day since were staying at campgrounds seasonally..
