Re: Golf Cart Security
You can remove the shorter plug on a RXV. That should stop the casual thief that doesnt know but has a key.

Re: Golf Cart Security
We used the run/tow switch as a security cut off for years. The cart was never taken without permission but I always worried somebody would see us flip the switch and know where to look to make it run. You need to take a look around and make sure nobody is watching when you do this

Re: Golf Cart Security
Thanks to everyone. If I use the bicycle cable lock as suggested and the run/tow switch that would be a good one two punch.
If they cant access under the seat then they cant make it run. Do you know the length of that cable? Can this cable be cut? |

Re: Golf Cart Security
Sorry I bought a standard (?) bike lock on Amazon.... and yes a thief with a cable cutter can cut the cable. It isn't a Ft Knox situation, it's like a braking dog making a thief go to the next house.

Re: Golf Cart Security
I plan on installing a motorcycle alarm. I bought it already from Amazon. It has a adjustable shock sensor, two chirpers, 130 db siren, and a kill switch to key ignition. It was only $25; and I just dropped $1300 into it these pass three months and don't want it to disappear either. I haven't installed it yet, cause I'm waiting for my auxiliary battery in the mail right now. Then I will install my radio and alarm all at once

Re: Golf Cart Security
I wonder if a variant of this yard sign would for for golf carts.

Re: Golf Cart Security
Get it insured! I've got about $4,000 in my cart and have it insured for $6,500. Premium is under $45 per year. I wouldn't mind if mine was stolen! Lol.

Re: Golf Cart Security
I have it insured but still don't want it stolen. It also has a paint job that was custom air brushed and cant be replicated. Some surfer dude/artist did it.
