1981 2pg timing, pulse coil
Back on my rebuild and have a few more questions. My book only goes to 1980 so dont have electronic ignition info. My pulse coil is 80 ohms, I purchased a new one and it is 160 ohms and I read somewhere here it is supposed to be 20 to 25 ohms?
What is the resistance of the pulse coil supposed to be? What is the timing procedure for this engine? Thanks, Kevin |

Re: 1981 2pg timing, pulse coil
My book says 120-180 ohms. I have also read 75-125 ohms in other places. I don't know if anybody has ever had a bad pulsar on here.
You may be able to use this 85 manual for your 81. |

Pages 108-112 cover it pretty well.
