Something a bit weird.............
Hey all
I was doing a service on my 96 EZGO TXT today and when I pulled the plugs to replace them I noticed the plugs I took out looked great. Slightly tan, electrodes sharp as good as new. So I decided to reuse em. I checked the gap [supposed to be .20-.30 thou. per manual] and they were both .40 thou. So I reset gap to .25 thou. and now the cart does not run as well.........accelerates a bit slower and where before it hit the governor and slowed........now it never hits the governor ..? Can setting the gap at .25thou. really have that much effect on the performance? I did also replace the air filter [which also looked good] with a brand new one and the fuel filter with a new one along with the filter fuel lines. I am a bit puzzled. Macon Due |

Re: Something a bit weird.............
with gaps being too small it's causing insufficient burn
i'd re-gap them |
