finally got around to working on this thing, luckily, I didn't mess anything up although I do have a bad limit switch on the F&R switch. going to get batteries and see what it will do,

big test today....didn't go well, was climbing a pretty good hill and heard what sounded like a wire vaporize and it quit, now it doesn't move but I can hear each solenoid click as I push the accelerator. the cart was kind of surging prior to quitting and I don't see any wires burned. the odd part is the horn used to work but doesn't now( it is wired to the last 2 batteries in the series.....any suggestions? thanks in advance

check the pack voltage
check the coils
my fear is it's the motor

motor test

WARNING you don't want to make a big spark anywhere near the battery.

note : use 2 wrenches on motor studs to keep them from spinning

hey CTD, I was actually looking at a thread you had posted with that same picture and thought I need to look this thing over again since the horn is connected to the last 2 batteries(it was eating at me) and lo and behold, right in front of me(don't know how 3 of us overlooked it...lol) but the positive post on the last battery(new battery) had melted allowing the cable and post to slide ever so slightly allowing it to look as though it was connected. kinda worries me what could have caused that, any ideas?
