2014 Club Car Batteries (48v) 49.3
Peeps, I am only able to get 49.3v after a full charge and rest period, each batteries volts are 8.2-8.3.... They are club car 2014 (made by Trojan, i was told) batteries.... Does this mean I need new ones...

Stock batteries are not made by Trojan. They are made by Johnson Controls.
On the battery there will be a Letter and Number sticker. I.e.: D3. The letter notates which month and the number which year they were manufactured. 1 year old batteries should still give a great charge. My guess is you got told a lie when you bought the cart. Check the water level of the cells and test each cell with a hydrometer and it will let you know if they have life left. They aren't "dead" but the outlook ain't great. |

Re: 2014 Club Car Batteries (48v) 49.3
they are 2014, so they are 2 years old. I tested each cell and none were off more then .025. but most were at the bottom of the green or good section...
I installed a battery Battery Life Saver in hopes of getting more life out of them... it seems to be going the other way... Would the BLS make the reading lower... |

Did you install a desulphanator? I would also test the pack voltage during charge to see if you are getting upwards of 57-60v.
Last thing I would do is just make sure you don't have a dead cell for any reason. If you take readings from each battery while accelerating you would notice a battery with a dead cell easily. 2 years is a bit premature, but without knowing how they were maintained, or if they were drained fully numerous times before, it's hard to say if the batteries are indeed dying ahead of schedule in terms of maintenance context. |

D2 is the date code, so does that mean 2012 batteries? I can get the volt reading charge up in the 60's when it is charging...

You are starting with a 65 % SOC after a full charge... Stop playing around and go buy new batteries unless you can get the crook who lied to you when he sold you the cart another deal...
