Default Installing MadJax 5" drop axle kit problem

Hello fellas,

I was installing a Madjax 5" drop axle kit for my 2013 EXGO TXT today and everything went well and smooth on the rear part of the kit and was almost done and completed when I encountered a problem.

The spindle hub nuts from my 2013 EZGO Factory kit hub do not work on your spindles provided with the kit. I ended up having to put the original front suspension back because the thread on the spindles from the madjax kit would just not work with my hub nut. The thread was not damaged because i was able to easily screw them and unscrew them in the factory spindle but they just would not go into the madjax spindle. I have read some threads where other customers had the same issue where Madjax had some defective spindles.

Do they sell those nuts somewhere? I contact support but of course its the weekend so I wondering if I can those somewhere?

A few days ago, I took my brand new RXV spindles to Fastenal and they matched the thread for me. I was having trouble finding a source for good quality nylock (nyon locking) nuts to fit these. On my RXV spindles, it turned out to be 16mm with 2.0 thread pitch. I chose Class 10.9 ( metric for Grade 8 ) over Class 8.8 ( metric for Grade 5 ) on all of my new hardware.

Thanks Bob, I have one close by. You saying I can take the spindles that came with the lift and have them match the thread of my factory hub nut?

If you take what you need the nut for to Fastenal, they can tell you the thread pitch and diameter, whether it is SAE or metric.

Thanks, let's see what Madjax says tomorrow when I call their customer service, then I'll take the spindles so they can tell me.
