Might as well keep the stock controller if you keep the stock cables & solenoid.. All the money spent on a performance upgrade controller will be used to heat the cables & wear out the solenoid. (plus issues like melted battery terminals & burnt motor terminals).

OK, but if I want to keep it in budget and I don't get the motor, just solenoid, controller and alltrax 48500 would get me to 25mph on street road right?

Use the XCT400TXT48 control and 200 HD solenoid for $479 or less if you can find it. You will get to 25 mph with those tires - in a hurry if you like
Stock cables won't choke it off too bad if they are in good shape

**** sweet that's what I like to hear. Even with 2 awg wire set they go for like 90 bucks.

You think this an upgrade I can do? And do you sell that in your store... I would buy it from you

PM is not the best way to get in touch with me. Use my email. PM only works when I'm already here. I turned off PM notification years ago

He** Yeah you can do it! Basic tools & some desire is what's needed. A volt meter is a prerequisite for an electrical fixer. You will be thrilled with what you accomplished.
