My battery was being over charged to the point where it was boiling out water. I put one of these VR in it and it charges right where it is suppose to. I bought a S/G from them last fall because mine was not repairable. Both where for my G1. https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Voltage...72.m2749.l2649
