Default 2004 Club car, 48v, will not move forward or reverse.

First off, thanks for letting me join... this is my first cart, 2004 Club Car, President, IQ- I think... I bought this cart it has been sitting for 5yrs. bad batteries, replaced them, 48V, batteries read 51.2, flip the switch to run and the resistor gets hot, the only thing that makes any noise or difference is the reverse beeper, no clicks, no lights, no movement... My question is where to start....

Cleaned all cables and connections, plugged charger in, it works fine, now when you turn tow-run switch to run,key works, solenoid clicks, reverse beeper works, but still nothing in forward or reverse, help

I believe that in 2004 there were both DS IQ carts and Precedent carts made. Have a serial number?

Yeah. You have a Precedent. If you go to the Club Car website you can download all of the manuals. You will get some good help here shortly when the pros start to chime in.

Just enter your serial number. They will email it all to you. That may get you more help before the others help.

I have seen a post on here about voltage readings to test the controller, Does anyone know where I might find them? Whats the best avenue to take from here??? New batteries, tight clean connections, charger works, key works, FNR switch works, solenoid clicking, 51.2 volts on one side, 49.5 volts on the other side, not sure where to go from here, please help...
