Default Cart in Pond

My wife accidentally drove off into a pond while chasing a varmint. I pulled it out and removed the batteries. There was a loud" pop" while it was in the water. Is there anything I should do specifically or just let it dry out?
It is a Precedent 2012 6 battery 48v cart

The controller has about a 99.9% chance of being bad if it got wet. As for the motor, if it got submerged I'd remove it, take it apart and let it dry out. Clean out any rust or trash inside the motor, put a new bearing in it, and re-assemble it if the brushes look to be in good shape. If the MCOR went underwater, replace that too.

Somewhere a varmint is knocking back a few cold ones with his buddies, telling em over and over again how he put that ladies' golf cart in the pond

Ugh...sadly, I'd think that loud 'pop' was the death sound of the controller. Do you smell any electric-type odor coming from it?

Are you sure that you didn't put the cart in the pond? And you're just passing off on the wife?

Tell the truth...... and it will set you free....

Right now an air compressor, is your good friend, you want a blower tip that has a small opening, the compressed air can remove water that you can't see.
Had my son drive one in the Gulf of Mexico, so I have been in your shoes only with salt water.
