Besides, buying the gasket is probably cheaper than a tube of snot. Gasket IS still available.

Ok, I have the high speed gears in now and sorry to say the low end is bad. Not sure how it will act on some of the hills around here. I noted that the secondary sheave and spring seat have different holes for the spring. I have it in B and 3 as service states. how does changing the holes affect the clutch? Thanks much guys.

With a high speed gear, you should really install the uMax spring and check the spacer is also there!

On this images, you should see the spacer which replaces the circlip out of the transmission, then shown once installed...

So the spacer goes behind the spring seat. Thanks.

That is correct. Check if, perhaps, it is already installed... There are several kits were it is included with the uMax spring.

I installed a new high torque secondary spring with the spacer. It ran well but then the 4th time out it blew the belt. Is there a heavier belt required for that spring add on?

Yamaha used the stock belt with their UMAX spring, but all bets are off for the crazy springs that are out there.

Strange, when I first installed the spring (from CPP), I was using the original Yamaha belt and had no trouble for almost 1.5 years...

When I installed the High speed gear, I switched at the same time to the GBoost Severe duty; a really good belt!
