Default Yamaha clutch bolt

Can anyone tell me the bolt and thread size for a 1996 yamaha. I was told the part # was JN7462490000....but can't find its actual size anywhere...wondering if I can pick one up at a hardware store. Also what is a 1996 generation g9 or g10 or???

I don't know the size, but it's metric, and not a hardware store job. 6-ish inch long metric bolts, doubt it. The commonly available gas Yamaha golf cart models in 1996 were G-14a, and G-16a. If your valve cover has fins on it, and says "Yamaha" it's a G14. If it says "OHV" with no fins, it's a G16. Also, if your gas tank is on passenger side = G16, gas tank on driver's side = G14. This info should only be used to distinguish 1996 G14 & G16 models, it might lead you astray if used on other years/models.

Real OEM one, cheaper there... I would really suggest the real Yamaha one as there are different metals, heat, etc...

For just a bolt, your shipping will be more expensive than the part itself...

Thanks guys...just ordered a whole new clutch that came with a bolt. Bought the cart without a clutch because the guy said it was bad and threw it away...SMH...thought I was going to get a clutch from someone off CL (said it didnt have a bolt) but showed up and he only had half of a clutch...WTF!
