Speedy link speed issue need help
I bought a speedy link for my wife’s 06 club car last May . It worked like a champ got her up to 20 mph . Well stupid me let the batteries dry out and ruined them . So the cart has been sitting about 3 months and I finally put new batteries in today. I put it in tow mode while changing them.
She takes off with my grand son after replacing them and comes back to tell me it’s back in 8 mph mode. I check the link it’s plugged in ok . I unplug it and plug it back in and it will go for about 50 feet then it slows back to the 8 mph. I can unplug it and it does the same thing again accelerates good then slows down. Any ideas ? I’ve tried to find a contac number for them with no luck . Thanks for any help . |

Re: Speedy link speed issue need help
That usually means you have a bad speed sensor or it's not plugged in good. Spray contact cleaner on your connections and the speedy link connections.

Re: Speedy link speed issue need help
I did the test for speed sensor with the speedy link connected and the speed sensor didn’t work. I took the speedy link off and the speed sensor worked correctly and the cart is faster probably 12 mph .
So I guess the speedy link is bad. I’ve been on there website and it doesn’t appear to be working just like there sensor Anybody else have problems with there’s. Her cart use to run 20 or 21 mph with the thing plugged in. |

Re: Speedy link speed issue need help
The speedlink is just an electronic version of a speed magnet, while the GE motor magnet is a little more work to replace, it is a lot cheaper and it will last as long as the motor.
