Ignition Timing on Yamaha Gassers
I'm more familiar with automotive and motorcycle ignition where one sets the static timing, and then can play with advance curves by way of distributor springs or DIP switches (sometimes pots) on an electronic ignition module. Also familiar with magneto systems.
I gather Yamaha "igniters" are what auto guys usually call an ignition module. What functions does this perform? A crude system providing a retarded timing for starting then some fixed advance for running? Or is there a programmed advance curve from idle through top RPM? Thanks Chilly |

Re: Ignition Timing on Yamaha Gassers
According to the manual, it makes a curve. Curve is shown In The book.
