Re: 2008 ezgo PDS Switch Problem
Has anybody been messing around with the wiring connected to keyswitch and F/R switch, they are on the same panel in the dash?
Try putting in diagnostic mode. maybe it beep an error code. The text at the bottom of the attached PDS controller cover label tell you how to get into diagnostic mode. Also attached schematic for PDS drive. |

Thanks I will pass it on to him. I don't know a lot on the PDS. I do know he replaced batteries last year, and just uses it around the farm. I don't think he has messed with any wires.

Re: 2008 ezgo PDS Switch Problem
I know the 36V PDS pretty well and the symptoms don't point to anything specific.
If the wires haven't been messed with, maybe they've gotten wet. A PDS is a fly-by-wire system and strange things can happen when they get wet. Remind him to put the Run/Tow switch into Tow before disconnecting or reconnecting any wires/plugs. He might try unplugging the plugs on the controller and spray cleaning them. Is the slow speed is probably a reduced speed rather than half speed. Unlike series controllers, with a PDS controller the same signal that puts it into half speed mode also puts it into reverse. |

Re: 2008 ezgo PDS Switch Problem
I'm not famiar with Sepex carts, but would it even be possible for the cart to run with the key switch off, unless the wiring changed or the key switch failed?

I'm wondering if he has a welded solenoid but wouldn't think the cart would go with the key off..

He said (and he is a member here just can't remember his PW)
"can't put in diagnostic mode because of switch" I think something is feeding back thru the switch causing this. |
