Default New Yamaha owner 2014 drive

I’ve only ever had club cars…but couldn’t pass up the deal on a brand new looking ‘14 drive. Pardon if these have been asked.. but I couldn’t find in search..

Between the fuel gauge and key, there is a removable rectangular plug.. whats it for?

I want to wire a fuse block on a relay for accessories that only comes on when cart is on.. the back of the key switch is a connector so no terminal to jump off of.. how can I trigger the relay only when cart is on?

Thanks in advance for help ! I ordered lift kit, wheels and rear seat.. pictures when done!

Figured out the plug.. I think a usb charger socket may fit in there.. ordered from amazon to try.

Still trying to get my head around wiring off switch/ relay.. still at a loss ..

The extra hole in the dash, it's an interesting story. The gas Drive was originally intended to be electric shift as an additional option. It didn't make it to production. Now there's an extra hole in the dash where the f&r switch would go.
