Default G1 oil recommendation

1982 g1 needs oil in tank (oil pump). Manual recommends TCW BIA. Is this a marine grade oil. Very confusing...

It needs to be oil good for injection, which marine oils usually are. I think stock they took yamalube which is very good oil and they don't use much at all. The injection needs high quality oil, otherwise you can usually find pennsoil 2 stroke for marine that is often available many places. Sometimes the cheap mix oils are varied viscosity, they keep it the same for injection oil. A qt will last you a long time.

Thank you. Do you have any idea why cart will run fine without the air breather components attached? Even if just hose is hooked to carb, it loads up until it dies. The plug will be raw fuel soaked

Carb jetted too rich, float is stuck or overflowing, mechanical issue causing poor airflow like bad reeds or broken piston, etc., maybe less likely but head gaskets can do strange stuff as well. Even a plugged muffler might cause that, though the ones I have seen just lost power.

Great you got it going. Lot of people seem to have issues with aftermarket carbs. Sometimes they can put the old jets in them and they work, sometimes not.
