Not exactly sure how you meant that to be taken. In my eyes, both SVCC and Plowman’s ARE doing this to make a living. One just talks the talk while the other walks the walk. I think we all know who is who! The problem is SVCC constantly posts things like this 0A0D7DBD-E1F4-4A20-8D03-37915BBEE5B0.jpg

In which he bashes the “guy just flipping carts” and makes outrageous claims about how dealing With him is a night and day difference. When in reality, he has proven to me that he IS just the guy on the side of the road flipping carts

From the photo backgrounds it looks like he may be moving a lot of carts. But it appears he may be misrepresenting some of the products and services provided.

Lots of people rely on others to "build" their carts. I prefer to do my own work. This is one of the examples why.

First, why would you have a 36 point "body off" inspection on a brand new cart? That's what a factory warranty is for...

And what I really dont get, is all he is doing is bolting on parts somebody else made. Not engineering or fabricating his own parts like plowman. Not even diagnosing any kind of actual problems on a cart. While working on anything mechanical does take some amount of technical aptitude, bolting on accessories is pretty much bottom of the barrel. Thay is the "jiffy lube" of the golf cart world. And from what I'm seeing here, he doesnt even do that well.

Hes a thief. I'd consult an attorney. I would look into seeing if I could sue him for time and cost to get your money back, as well as the attorney fees. He can have the cart back...

They aren't new carts from what I can tell. His inventory appears to be late models off lease purchased in lots.

"he responded back, on a ‪Sunday night at 8:27 pm‬, that the warranty would absolutely NOT carry over if I sold the cart. And if he even saw it listed for sale all warranty and customer support would be terminated!"

This is very telling! I'm pretty sure this is not legal practice. You have that in a "formal" provable form. If you did decide to sue, this would be an important piece. While a company can have a warranty not transfer to other owners, I'm pretty sure a company can not void a warranty based on just trying to sell an item.

Disclaimer: While I don't like to brag, I'm no lawyer. This is just my humble opinion.

Good on you for taking the time to write this up! You are good people!

Lol
Love the karma photo
Many people have told me that I would have a solid case against him in court. It would just be a big inconvenience on my personal time. I don’t think it would cost much, but being out of state would take some time from my wife and
3 kids. I just wanted to get what I paid for. He’s caused me enough stress already. I’d like to just be done with him and move on. I posted this long story as a way to vent my frustration and add some closure to the situation while also giving the BGW community a heads up on what to look out for when searching for a custom builder.
