Yamaha G5 Seats what happened here?

CGTECH thanks. I was told the original owner was an upholsterer.

I don’t like them because I can’t add seat belts and the arms are too low. I can’t tell if that is the original seat frame or not. I know the original bucket seats had arm rest in between the two seats.

I Can’t tell if this is the original seat frame or not. I don’t like this seat because I cannot add seat belt.

I also don’t like the armrest because they are too low. I know the original seat were bucket and they had an arm rest in between them. I’m not sure how I’m going to get the seat belt without changing the Back rest.

Any thoughts?

Yes. The originals had a handle in between. But I doubt they’d be easy to find.

Even with mine, I don’t see any place I could attach seat belts. It’s just a plated metal tube. Not very strong. Especially not the middle. Here’s an old picture from before I redid the armrests.

Those seats look really comfy. Do you have pic of the new ones you installed?

I may be out of luck with seat belt unfortunately. My dad rides in it and I’d feel much better having the seat belts.

Those are the new seats. I just recovered the original foam with new marine vinyl.

The armrests have since been repainted but it looks almost the same.

I am considering maybe doing them in fabric someday-night be softer.
