are you 100% its a G2? only 2 strokes can run different one way than the other as far as i know. as the 4 stroke g2 on reverse just changes the rear end not motor.

Yes even if its 80 out. sometimes you will need to choke just a few seconds but that would just be the first time till motor warms a minute. and only sometimes. can you post a pic of it or i can post a g1 and g2 so you can tell us which you have

im not 100 % sure at all and i dont have acess to it for couple weeks as i work on a ship im just trying to gather as much knowledge and info i can so i can go home and try and fix her up and lift her and get her rocking. I am pretty sure she is 1989 model is there any body features i could look at to tell u if its a g2 or something else? She just seems to have more torque in reverse

first is g1 second is g2. notice the most recognizable thing on any cart ever. the g2 and g9 had the fiberglass panel that goes up by the seats

Thats a great place to start. read the stickies here in the forum and search for more threads on g2/g9 problems. you will learn more than you will probably want lol. airbox, carb, carb gaskets, hoses. and again check valve adjustment. all very easy things to get done. There are many people on here that know a ton more than me on this cart and they will chime in but its hard to guess as you know without you at the cart to check. Hopefully its an easy fix and you're rolling in no time.
