ClubCar PowerDrive 2 charger
hey its me again....
does anyone know if a ClubCar PowerDrive 2 charger, model number 22110 is a smart charger? By this I mean do you have to physically plug and unplug the charger when you want to bump the batteries? I have a customer that simply left the charger plugged in all winter, thinking it would kick on and top off the charge. I've always been a fan of physically unplugging and plugging back in-to hear the charger kick on, then walk away. thanks in advance, stay safe! Mark |

Re: ClubCar PowerDrive 2 charger
No....The charger is controlled by the obc and is supposed to come on every 15 days if left plugged in...
From the manual... • Long-Term Storage Charge Vehicles with PowerDrive 2 chargers are designed to be left connected, with AC power to the charger on, during off-season storage. The onboard computer will automatically activate the charger every 15 days. To return the vehicle to service, unplug the charger DC cord, wait 15 seconds for the computer to reset, and plug the charger back in. See following WARNING. This will ensure the batteries are at their optimum charge prior to returning the vehicle to service. |
