Battery charger clicks on for 4 seconds and then....
So we went on vacation and I left my cart hooked up. When we returned we went to go to the neighborhood pool and I noticed the cart felt weak. It immediately died. got it home and hooked it up. Nothing. If you push the charger button it clicks on for 4 seconds and then turns right off with the voltage meter moving. What could this be? It worked perfectly 4 days ago. I have moved the charger to other outlets and such. Its getting power front he wall but like i said wont auto click on and turns off after 4 seconds of the button push

Those smarter than I who can help will want to know what charger it is....powering what cart, and at what voltage most likely.

You could be having an OBC issue. Try resetting the OBC (unplug the pack for 20 minutes) and see if that helps. If not, we will bypass it to see if the OBC has failed.

Re: Battery charger clicks on for 4 seconds and then....
The diode or rectifier set failed. The only Button on the front of a powerdrive charger is a circuit breaker and that should never have to be pushed. The only reason the breaker trips is an internal fault in the charger, which is usually a bad diode or rectifier.
It's best to replace the circuit breaker as well, since repeatedly tripping the breaker will weaken it. https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...d2-model-22110 |
