05 precedent questions
I am new to the golf cart world and ran into some things yesterday. I purchased an 05 precedent 48v. While doing standard maintenance I noticed a surplus of old corrosion on the heat sink and plate. I took it apart to clean and saw the gray wire coming from the obc wasn’t connected to anything. Instead the black wire coming from the charging receptacle was connected to another black wire going to the negative terminal on one of the batteries. Am I correct that this was a bypass of the obc?
I also noticed a dark blue wire coming from the main harness that was not connected to anything. Any help on what this is or if it should be connected? Last thing. Can I switch the battery warning light to a gauge? |

Re: 05 precedent questions
you could, yes. I actually ran it to a fuse block in my dash for some low draw accessories. Just find the blue wire in the pigtail coming in behind the dash and splice into that. You can also take advantage of the heavier gauge black ground cable thats up there so you don't have to run an additional ground wire.
