98 CC Question?
Hey guys I know this is a bit vague but, I just found a 98 CC for sale for $200.00 dollars. All they know is that the batteries are bad. Don't know what modle but said the body is good and they have extra body fiberglass pieces and 2 extra tires. Said the charger works but that is all they know. Do you think I should take a chance and drive 2 hours and pick it up? Are there any major problems with any of the 98 models? I have a 08 precedent but would like to have an extra for my kids. Knowing this little about the cart, do you think I could go wrong with just a body and frame for $200?

Re: 98 CC Question?
Depends how much time and money you are willing to put into one. Are they saying they know for a fact all that is wrong with it are the batteries or are they just sort of acting like they know that for a fact but it very well could be that other things are wrong and they won't stand behind any of it? If it was working before batteries went bad, might be worth the risk. Then again, by the time you buy new batteries, there could be others for sale that do run with decent batteries already in them for not much more than you'd have in this one. I'm assuming this one is relatively stock? Or are there some extras (wheels/tires/lift/seat/lights, etc.)?

Re: 98 CC Question?
Yeah Red, I just don't have that much info on the cart. I would like a project cart to build but I would like to know how many models did CC make in 98 and was this a bad cart year? I would like to do a controller upgrade, lift, tires, PQ motor ect.

Re: 98 CC Question?
If it's a 48volt series cart that is a good deal, only my opinion though...

Re: 98 CC Question?
I am going to talk to the owner this evening. How many models did CC make in 98? What could I ask them on the phone to be sure of the model? I will have them text or e-mail pics.

Re: 98 CC Question?
Ask them if it is 36 or 48 volts. Ask if the Charger is included. Ask if the seats are torn or stained. Ask if the tires are worn or hold air. Ask if it is in original condition or has been modified. Ask if it has a top. Ask for a picture of each side and one of the dash and one of the battery bay
